Sugar is in everything from pastries to canned fruits, raisins, pasta sauces and soft drinks. This will become an eye-opening experience for you to endure for just a week to really be more aware of what it is you are putting into your body and even what you are feeding your children as well. Foods that are acceptable on your sugar free diet are whole wheat breads, vegetables, chicken, stir fried vegetables, home made soups, popcorn and eggs. Generally you will want to avoid anything in a can and reach for fresh foods for the week and always read the product labels. Many diet foods substitute sugar with artificial sweeteners which may be lower in calories, but those as well have been reported to have adverse side effects on the body. Be cautious in what you are consuming and try the no sugar for one week experiment, you will be surprised at the results and may even become a sugar free dieter for life!
